Melvin Moore
Chief Financial Officer, Trace Foundation
Melvin is the Director of Informatics, Reporting, & Analytics at Independence Blue Cross, where he is responsible for reporting solutions and analytics for internal and external customers as well as fraud, waste, and abuse recoveries and reporting using big data. He manages the vast amount of reporting by leveraging customer service tools and automating routine reports using different technologies to meet the need of the customer. Melvin emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in addition to delivering value to customers.
Prior to his current role, Melvin was the Manager of Informatics Financial Analysis, where he operated in a similar capacity providing support and adding value to Actuarial, Underwriting, and Finance. He has also analyzed the financial and membership impacts of health care reform on the small group and consumer markets as the Affordable Care Act was being implemented.
Melvin earned a Master of Business Administration in Financial Management from the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and finance from Rowan University, where he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University, Rowan University and Rowan College at Burlington County, member of the Rutgers University Big Data Advisory Board , Board of Trustees Chairman at Gospel Tabernacle Church Inc., and both a youth football official and youth sports coach.
Melvin has a passion for giving back and helping people realize their potential. He lives in Burlington Township, NJ with his wife and three sons.
